You said you're in a Doors tribute band, right?

Yeah...I'm in a band called The Soft Parade. That's why I've had so many Gibson G101 (I've had 9 of them..Now 6) and so many Vox and Fender rhodes piano basses. Believe it or not-That suit was harder to find than any piece of equipment!

I'm sure there's a few Soft Parades, but just on the off chance you're in THAT one...

No kidding! When I was at community college back in 96, I had an adjunct professor named Joe B., who played guitar in The Soft Parade. That might have been before your time? If I remember correctly, I had a friend who sat in with them on a few shows, while they were searching for a new keyboard player. I might have hallucinated that, though. How long you been in it?
Anyways, that makes at least four of us in the NY metro area. Should we start an "Brothers of Transistors" all combo combo?

Nice silver top. I knew a guy who had one just like it. The sin of the matter is, he's a drummer barely capable of playing chopsticks.

Yeah...I joined the band in 1998 (when I was still in my teens) and I'm still in it and so is Professor Joe B. In fact, we played a sold out show at his college (Dragonetti auditorium) a few months ago.
Hey Peacefrog...Do you have any later period piano basses? You know, the ones with the rubber tipped hammers? In my opinion, those are better instruments.
It is really neat that there are other people in my are who are really into combo organs. I have been thinking about planning something with a bunch of keyboard players..A one time jam kinda thing with a bunch of combo organs.
