I have a Farfisa Compact Delux that I just had refurbished by a pro... too much needed to be done for me to attempt it. Anyway, it's worked great for a week, but now the bass notes, meaning the black keys and the gray keys when they are switched to bass are cutting in and out. I gave a light smack to the side of the organ one time and they started working again. Another time, I turned off the bass switches and turned them back on again and it started working again. Any guess what the problem might be and what I should do?

Hi there,
Combo organs, typically are straightforward to understand. The notes are usually wired to each key. With power off Inspect the wiring leading to the failing keys, and check for loose connections. Follow the wires back to the circuit board, and look on the circuit boards for loose connections parts. etc...Resolder as necessary. I suspect a broken ( cold ) solder connection. Or possibly the switch that turns the bass function on. Good Luck

Or possibly the switch that turns the bass function on. Good Luck - Karl hi Karl I got the same problem but on the deluxe, there's no switch to put the bass function on... they should always work... there's only one sharp/soft effect switch... regarding the grey keys, they work well in the treble position, and in the bass position, they work as very quiet 16 voices keys...

Has anyone found a solution to this? I have a compact duo which the black bass keys do not work. It must be a common problem.
