Not a combo, sorry.. :) KIMBALL question!

yo!
i just bought a kimball organ, its the spinet type (with a really cool rhythm section).. i hope this forum is an acceptable place for my question:

on the main manual, the diap 16 can not be turned off, so i always get a mixture of this sound with anything else i select...

is this fixable? (i didnt try searching, i have no idea what words to fill in..)

ok.. that was in the thrift shop..
now that problem disappeared...
however, when selecting no sound, it is like a faint footage (is that the word?) is selected (with a saw tooth like timbre)... is that normal?
it is not really a problem like 'the other situation' however...

i was wondering, does having the organ in a relatively cold and humid room will have a big negative impact? it wont be good, but how bad?
i tried searching for 'humid' and 'humidity'.. no results.
