Hello people, I just found this Forum & I have questions about Rheem Mark VII's. First off, I bought (stole) a Rheem Mark VII Combo Organ for $15 that works. But, in order to get it working, I had to first replace the power cord connector in the back of the Organ. I used a "receptacle" from an old (computer) pc & a pc's power cord. I then "hot wired" the "expression pedal" terminal to get sound out of it. But I can't control the Voluum that way. I have an old voluum pedal with 2 "pots" on it that I "salvaged" from an old Conn console organ. So, now, how can I connect that pedal to a Rheem Mark VII? Also, after I have the organ on for a few minutes, the "upper" key set's #'s 1,6,11,16 & 21 change tone & don't sound right, what could be causing that? And, how easy is it to "fix?" Now, I've read that combo organs don't sound good when connected to Peavey guitar amps. I don't have a "bunch" of money, so my Mom gave me her old Peavey Standard Mark III series head & I'm useing the speakers from an old Hammond model M-143 organ. I have installed (but not yet wired up) a 2 speed Leslie baffle that I salvaged from the previously mentioned Conn organ. How can a rheostat be used to control motor speeds? And last, what kind of Bass amp would be best for a Rheem Mark VII? I was thinking of plugging in a powered sub woofer cabinet to the bass output, but haven't (yet) because I wanted to be sure if that can be "safely" done.
