hello,
My Compact has all of a sudden developed a strange low freq sound in the C# and D# keys in every octave. They sound "in tune" but both have a different timbre than the keys around them. If it were just one key I would think it was the individual card for the key but since it is two doing the same thing, I think it may be something else.
Anyone else dealt with this issue ?
Also, in the process of sourcing parts for a potential repair, does anyone know how drastically the sound is altered when the original germanium transistors are swapped out for modern ones like the fellow who posted this used ?
