What piece of gear are you most sorry that you sold? There was something that at the time you thought "it's day is done" and now you think... DOH!! For me it was my Synare drums. The black flying saucers with the knobs around the face. I had 4 of them and a sequencer that they plugged in to. It is why I keep the Ensoniq SD-1. There is really nothing else like it even though I don't use it that much. Discuss.

Hey Rod,
You may not believe this but I still have a star synare. When I bought it there were no knobs on it. So no one would buy it from me anyway. The only thing I have ever sold was a Oberheim matrix 6. I have a matrix 1000 and a matrix 12 and I needed money so I took the plunge. I don't miss the synth as much as the patches I spent years setting up. The matrix 1000 is supposed to be identical but under close scrutiny, there are differences.

Top of the list would be my humble Korg ES-1 Electribe. Loved the interface; though the sampling and rhythm sequencing in my Fantom would replace it.
Second would be my Farfisa Professional. On the other hand, I have the Vox now, which is closer to the sound I want... But the Farf was a fun organ.

Hmm...I've actually sold a bunch of combos over the years. I tend to usually only sell ones that have too many issues for me to want to deal with, but I've also sold a few that were in giggable condition: A Gibson G-201 and a Cordovox O-642 are probably the ones I most regret. I sold the Gibson because I realized I'd never gig with it. I tend to like to bring an electric piano with me to gigs, too, which would've meant a second amp would be necessary because of the way the G-201 works. The Cordovox? Well, it's an unwieldy beast to carry around, due to its shape.
These days, though, I tend to think that it still would've been fun to just have them sitting around the house.
