Wow! Thanks Flo. I am working my way through their various vids and MySpace pages. I would be really great to get some of these musicians to join us here at the Nation. The singer in that French band (les Terribles) is beautiful! I really appreciate the effort you are making in bringing new members and new music to the forum. Oh, and your Sun Ra avatar is excellent.

I'm surprised noone has mentioned Smash Mouth. Not my favourite band, but they did have thebiggest combo ogan hit in recent memory with "Walking on the sun."

The Mummies are playing next month (October) in Spain. (For that matter, so are another of my old fave combo organ bands - The Untamed Youth.)

I tried to find an Untamed Youth picture for my previous post but could not get anything decent... I must have some somewhere around...I know I have some from a late 90s gig in New Brunswick, NJ. Just gotta get 'em scanned. I probably ran some from GarageShock '95 in my old fanzine, The Teen Scene, as well. By the way, I think Chris "Sugar Balls" Sprague will be drumming with the Untamed Youth in Spain. I believe that's what Derek (Deke) thingyerson told me last weekend.

The Pendletons are in Europe? d**n! It's been something like 13 years since they played NYC. (Luckily, I've seen them a couple times since in other locales.) Matt was living in Philly for awhile, but is now back in New Orleans. And Mike Hurtt was in Detroit, though it seemed more like he was all over the place. Wish those guys would come this way. Besides being a blast live, they're absolutely wild to hang with. One of my favorite weekends ever was when Matt, Mike, and Freddy Fortune were all crashing at my place.

Sheetah & the Weissmuller, a french band from Lille; do buy their album on Screamin Apple: it is well worth it! pictured here with their Farfisa Compact, supporting the Fleshtones 2 weeks ago...
