Just a quick intro here. I'm more of a Hammond guy and never really thought much about combo organs - until I had an eye-opening (ear-opening?) experience with a Vox Continental a couple months back. Since then I've gotten interested in combos, and just became the owner of a Fender Contempo.
I'm sure I'll have lots of questions, starting with trying to rig up a volume pedal for the Contempo (came without pedal or legs/stand -- of course!) But I just wanted to say hey to everyone in the spirit of the forum, and I look forward to interesting discussions and to learning from others on the list.

Welcome! Did your experience have anything to do with finding that nothing cuts through a clutter of guitar like a transistor organ?

thanks for the welcome! My epiphany was more a case of just really hearing the Connie (it was a UK model) by itself, and realizing it had real depth and interest to its tone.
So this brings up a question (hope it hasn't been covered before): is there any appreciable difference in tone between UK/US/Italian model Continentals?
