Hey, so I got a old Gem Imperial from 02/29/1972 (it's written inside!) and I got 2 jack outputs on it on for the upper & lower keys and one for the bass and I was wondering if I could melt them into only one? so I can have both high notes and bass notes amplified?

Hi MT,
One thing you could do is build a small passive mixer into you organ. Use a capacitor to couple each output to a potentiometer. One end of the capacitor to the original ouput and the other end to one side of the potentiometer. The taps of the potentiometer can be tied together and would be your output. The remaining legs of the potentiometers would be tied to ground.
Sorry for the makeshift schematic. I can't seem to draw the potentiometer taps. From Organ -------| |-------------/\/\/\/\/-----------| Ground
Build two circuits like this, One for each output. A unipolar cap would be best but if not, connect the positive side to the original output.
A 10uF at 50 Volts will probobly work. Use a 50K log or audio taper for the potentiometer. The overall output may be lower but this should work. You could also replace the potentiometers with resistors once you determine your levels.
Please reply if you have any questions.
Karl

whoa... big answer! thanks Karl I was actually thinking about melting two jack cables into one... something like that, but with male jacks only
