Literally awesome! You sold the Panther after you sampled it? If any of you guys have a sampler and want to add some great organ sounds look in to Dave's collection. I have his Gibson collection that I have been converting in to my Alesis Fusion.

It was worth a try.
Heck, she's a saint for saying OK to all the organs in the first place!
My wife's a saint, as well...We're thinking about having a house built. When talking to the architect, not only did she make sure that there was a rehearsal room that would allow people to watch - thereby making for some seriously fun parties - *and* have a 9.5 foot ceiling so that we could hang some lights and feel like there was some real room, but she also suggested that we have a room created for the various unused equipment and amps to live.

Wow! Same here. It's great when you find the right woman. In fact my wife is the keyboard player in all of our bands and I play the drums. She understands that as long as I am in that back room making all of that noise... 1- she knows where I am. 2- she knows what I am doing. So I am picking up a Korg Polysix next week for a mere $300.00. No hassles. I think a Hammond in the kitchen could be very romantic. Try selling it on that basis.

All of the women I've been with over the past 17 years or so have been quite understanding. The woman I was with in the 90s didn't have to deal with as much, though, as I wasn't actively buying combos while we were living together. She did, at least, consider learning an instrument to start a band, although it never happened. My next girlfriend was already a bassist, guitarist, and singer. She picked up drums and forced me to start a band with her. Her only rule was, "Don't buy another organ unless it's giggable." Hardly unfair. My wife...No rules at all. When she moved into my house, she saw organs in the kitchen, living room, and on the porch, as well as the various parts of the basement (including the rehearsal room, of course). These days, the ones in the kitchen are only in the kitchen closet. Really, she's a much better keyboardist than I am, plus she's been learning bass, plays Irish harp, sings beautifully, plays cello, and a couple other instruments, too. And she took over for my left hand in my band. (No longer do I play key bass, as she's using those bass lessons to do a much better job holding down that part than I ever did.)

my wife doesnt mind the music stuff at all, but i'm having a hankering to start a classic arcade game collection that has been a point of contention for awhile, i pretty much have her agreed to a full sized 48 in one arcade cab with all the 80s classics as well as one i'm going to build myself at this point. women just love when their husbands collect big ugly sh1t...

Just don't tell her that you also want an air hockey table, a foosball game, and a jukebox or two. Or, better yet, tell her you want all that stuff *and* a full-size pool table, after which maybe the arcade games will seem like nothing.
